Anything Can Happen If You Let It

While in London, England last year, I was uplifted and motivated after attending the musical production of Walt Disney's 1964 masterpiece, Mary Poppins, on-stage. It's been many years since I've seen the show, and the live performance was wonderful. After observing the enjoyable and practically perfect Mary Poppins reminding a family to love, play, believe, and obey, I felt inspired that despite our fears, sadness, and unfortunate experiences, anything can happen if we let it (Mary Poppins message).

When we follow our hearts our dreams do come true. Often the road we travel to achieve our dreams is filled with pain and disappointment. This opposition is often necessary for us to grow and progress in such a way that we are prepared to receive our dreams. When we're in the depths of despair, it's easy to forget that good things can happen if we let them. It takes a burst of belief on our part to facilitate our own happiness.

After returning home from the UK last year, I looked up the lyrics to the closing song of Mary Poppins, "Anything Can Happen." Here are some of the inspiring words:
Sometimes things are difficult but you can bet it doesn't have to be so Changes can be made.  You can move a mountain if you use a larger spade. Anything can happen, it's a marvel . . . Stretch your mind beyond fantastic dreams are made of strong elastic.  Take some sound advice and don't forget it, anything can happen if you let it . . .  Broaden your horizons, open different doors.  You may find a you there that you never knew was yours, anything can happen . . .  Raise the curtain, things you thought impossible will soon seem certain . . . If you reach for the stars, all you get are the stars, but we've found a whole new spin if you reach for the heavens, you get the stars thrown in . . Anything can happen, it's official . . .

With heaven's help, anything is possible. This has always been the case--particularly when our dreams are centered around creating loving relationships, happy homes, and healing hearts and minds. I've never worked with a client who didn't have a dream of creating more love (either for others or them). This was the dream of Michael and Jane, the children in Mary Poppins who wanted and needed what we all want and need--love and happiness, particularly at home.
